Dr. McMahon is a native of Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from Creighton Preparatory High School in 1997. Dr. McMahon received his degree in Chemistry and Psychology from Saint Louis University in 2001 where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. In 2005, he received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Virginia where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. McMahon completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University in 2008 and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2011. He is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Medical Association and is Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
Dr. McMahon is married and has two children. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, golfing, and watching Nebraska football.
