Dr. Peeraphatdit, known as “Dr. Bee,” was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. He earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital at Mahidol University in Bangkok. He then completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Minnesota, followed by a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where he also served as chief resident and chief fellow. Additionally, he obtained a master’s degree in Clinical and Translational Science from the Mayo Clinic. With a keen interest in liver disease, Dr. Bee pursued an additional fellowship in transplant hepatology at the University of Chicago.
After completing his training, Dr. Bee joined the University of Nebraska Medical Center as an Assistant Professor. During his tenure, he actively engaged in medical education and mentorship, helping to guide future gastroenterologists. His research, focusing on innovative approaches to liver disease management, has been published in leading medical journals. Dr. Bee is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Transplant Hepatology, and is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, and American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
In his clinical practice, Dr. Bee takes pride in getting to know his patients and emphasizes personalized care, with a focus on liver disease and its chronic management. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, swimming, and running. His wife affectionately describes him as a “tech geek” and a “world history nerd.”
