Sheeva K. Parbhu, MD

I was born in Iowa City, Iowa but grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. I graduated from Millard North High School before attending the University of Notre Dame. I returned to Omaha to complete medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center where I met my wife, Rachel. I completed training in Internal Medicine followed by a fellowship in Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Utah Health Center in Salt Lake City, UT. I served as Chief Fellow during my 3rd year of GI fellowship.

Following the completion of my training, I joined the University of Utah GI Division as an Assistant Professor of Medicine during which time I was able to participate in teaching medical students, residents and fellows. I am interested in all aspects of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and enjoy the varied aspects of clinical practice. I am Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and am a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

In my free time I enjoy watching Notre Dame football, running, playing tennis and spending time with my wife and our children.
