Dr. Ward is a native of Columbia, Missouri. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri, in 1997, and M.D. degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri, in 2002. In 2003 he completed an Internship in Internal Medicine and a Residency in 2005 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska, where he was Chief Medical Resident for one year. In 2009 Dr. Ward completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. Dr. Ward is married with 3 children and remains a loyal Missouri Tiger fan.
